Ruri Umino (Currently known as Ruri Yoshimiya) was born on August 8, in Tokyo, Japan. As a former digital seiyuu idol in 22/7, Ruri portrayed Jun Toda via both voice acting and motion-capture physical acting.
Prior to the consent of using their names for voice roles, Ruri went under the aliases "Natsu no Himawari" and "Natsuno."
Ruri's image colour was brown. Her penlight color was green.[2]
Ruri officially graduated on November, 30, 2021.

Ruri had a childhood friend who was half-Indonesian.[4]
Ruri originally liked 'boys' manga and anime but she once watched Detective Opera Milky Holmes and was impressed that the characters were singing, which made Ruri interested in voice acting. Ruri was also a fan of AKB48, and through the group she found the 22/7 auditions by their producer Yasushi Akimoto.[5]
Ruri originally didn't want to become an idol but her parents allowed her to take many auditions. She started wanting to become an idol during her second year of middle school, but after that she wanted to become a seiyuu instead.
She was in the Wind Instrument Club in school. In high school, Ruri went to a voice actor training school.[6]
Her career began on 24 December 2016 upon successfully passing 22/7 auditions and joining the unit. She officially graduated on November, 30, 2021.
After her graduation on November 30, 2021, Ruri has since resurfaced on Twitter on December 24, 2021, and gone under the new name Ruri Yoshimiya working as a freelancer.

Beyond becoming a well-established seiyuu, Ruri wishes for 22/7 to appear at Animelo Summer Live.

Ruri does Kendo. She also plays a lot of instruments like the flute, bass and saxophone, and has performed on Showroom streams.
Ruri's favorite song is Kokoro no Eden from Detective Opera Milky Holmes.[7] Another one of her favorite songs is Fukai Mori from Do As Infinity, a song used in the anime InuYasha, and anime which she also likes. Ruri also likes the idol group SKE48[8] Ruri is also a fan of the groups i☆Ris, Wake Up Girls and Wasuta.
Ruri plays gacha-style smartphone games, but has bad luck at getting the character card that she wants.[9] She also likes a multitude of franchises, including Yokai Watch, Pripara, Winnie the Pooh and Harry Potter.[10] [11] Her favorite anime is Love Live! and her favorite character is Maki Nishikino. She also seems to like Hanayo Koizumi, You Watanabe and Ruby Kurosawa.[12]
Ruri really likes chocolate mint, and especially chocolate mint ice-cream.[5]

Quirks[]
Ruri developed a number of quirks in her SHOWROOM streams:
- Ruri often reacted to reading a comment with a sharp "Ah!" or "Oh!" of surprise.[13]
- She says "Tsume desu yo!" as a not-so-strong "no"
- She has concocted the "Daruma Sentai." SR allows fans to gift daruma of various colors. She has imagined a different personality style for each color. Upon being gifted one, she says "daru-daruma" a speaking style that matches the personality that she concocted.[14]
- At the end of most SR streams, she thanks the top-ranked audience members by name.[15]
She sometimes adds the honorific -san to non-living things (e.g. Gakyu-san, "Miss Dressing Room, and " Terebi-san, "Mr. TV Program")[16] Ruri also tends to jump from one topic to another very quickly.
According to Urara, Ruri apologizes often. Ruri says this is because she doesn't want her attitude to seem big.[5]
Behind the scenes[]
Ruri is very close to fellow member Urara. She and Urara attended Comiket 2017 together.[17] They also attended Fuyucon. The two also went to an SAO exhibition event to commemorate its 10th anniversary.[18]
Along with Kanae and Sally, the three of them went to Crunchyroll Expo 2019 together.[19]
On February 11, 2019, management granted her an individual official Twitter account. Although it has since been deleted since her departure. She currently has a new Twitter handle as of December 24, 2021.

Trivia[]
- She was the tallest member of the group in the original lineup.
- Despite this, Ruri dislikes being tall and her ideal height is 155cm.
- During Crunchyroll Expo 2019, Sally stated that when taking pictures with Ruri, Ruri would take off her shoes (as they have heels) so she could be shorter than Sally (who is the second tallest of the group).
- According to Chiharu, Ruri likes the song Zetsubou no Hana due to it's unique melody.[20]
- The length of both of Ruri's ears are 7cm.[21]
