Kanae Shirosawa was born on July 18, in Saga Prefecture, Japan. Her nickname is "Kanaeru". As a former digital seiyuu idol in 22/7, Kanae portrayed Akane Maruyama via both voice acting and motion-capture physical acting.
Kanae's image color was lavender.[2] Her penlight color was purple.[3]
Kanae officially graduated on July 31, 2023.
Biography[]
Both of Kanae's parents are from Nagasaki. She was an adventurous, outdoorsy child. [4] In elementary school one of her dreams was to become a fashion designer.[5]
Kanae always loved manga and anime since she was little, and became aware of the job of voice acting when she watched Bleach and was very suprised when she found out that a woman played the role of a boy. While she would read 'girls' manga in early elementary, her tastes changed to 'boys' manga. However, when she was living with her parents none of her friends favored that type of type of manga, so she would usually read it alone.[6]
Kanae also watched Keyakizaka46 live performances and started to long to become an idol as well.[6]
Kanae found the 22/7 auditions when she found the words "Yasushi Akimoto's voice actor idol" ("秋元康氏の声優アイドル") in the trending section of twitter, and decided to apply because she thought it was the perfect audition as she wanted to become both a seiyuu and an idol.[6]
Her career began on 24 December 2016 upon successfully passing 22/7 auditions and joining the unit.
She graduated from the group on July 31, 2023. She expressed that she doesn't plan on returning to the entertainment industry.
Goals[]
Beyond becoming a well-established seiyuu, she said it would be nice to do a collaboration with a fashion designer.[5] Despite this, Kanae claims she is more of a realist, and doesn't want to think about her goals.
However, Kanae revealed at her last concert that she had secretly hoped that she'd perform with 22/7 at Tokyo Dome someday. This shocked many of her fans and fellow members as they were not aware of this goal. A few of the members have now picked up this goal after her departure.

Kanae's favorite film is AI: Artificial Intelligence.[7] Kanae likes the anime Crayon Shin-chan.[8] Kanae also likes Shonen manga, and especially Dragon Ball.[6]
Kanae, Mei, and Chiharu played Splatoon 2 together on Nintendo Switch.[9]
Kanae likes the idol group Sakurazaka46.[10] She said she was sad when Mayu Watanabe graduated AKB48.[11]
Kanae loves drawing and creating things. She made her own earrings.[6]
Quirks[]
She has a slight lisp.
Kanae had Sally teach her English.
Kanae has trypophobia, meaning she can't look at bumpy things or small things coming together.
While reading comments in her SHOWROOM live-streams, she often makes a slight "hmm."
To places that she usually visits, Kanae knows the time required to get to those locations, like from her home to the train station. However, she comments that it has recently gotten shorter and wonders if her legs got faster.[12]
She is known to be a sore loser.

Kanae often visits her grandparents family in Nagasaki.[13]
Along with Ruri and Sally, the three of them went to Crunchyroll Expo 2019 together.[14]

- Kanae also likes the song Mirai ga Arukara because there is a gap between the refreshing melody and the lyrics.
- The length of Kanae's right ear is 7cm, while her left ear is 6.5cm, which is considered small.[15]
